JAIPUR: In the wake of the Administration refusing to file a case on alleged State patronage in sati glorification through the publication of a book last month, the human rights organisations here have approached the Special Court set up for sati prevention, seeking its intervention. The activist organisations, in an affidavit petition in the court, have sought action against Fate Singh Kalla, the author of the controversial book, "Rajasthan Ke Lok Devi Devta'', and the Devasthan Minister, Usha Punia, who released the book on May 30 last, among others, under Section 11 of the Commission of Sati (Prevention) Act, 1987. The affidavit mentions the names of the former Rajasthan Governor, Madanlal Khurana, the State Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, and Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria, among those appreciated the book.
