NEW DELHI: Three persons allegedly involved in cases of robbery have been arrested by the South Delhi police during the past 24 hours. The police claim to have recovered Rs. 6 lakhs in cash and some jewellery from their possession. On June 9, the police received a complaint from Stephen, a resident of Sheikh Sarai, alleging that two motorcycle-borne criminals robbed him of Rs. 7 lakhs which he had received as an advance payment for the sale of his Katwaria Sarai flat. On Monday, the police received a tip-off that two of the suspects involved in the robbery had been spotted near PVR Saket. A trap was laid and they were arrested. During interrogation, the accused identified themselves as Ravi and Michael. They allegedly disclosed that from their accomplice, Satish, they came to know that Stephen was to receive advance payment from the property deal, after which they planned to target him. At their instance, the police arrested Satish. They also arrested Ravi's father, Ram Prasad, for receiving the stolen money.
