Extremist surrenders to Warangal S.P.

Staff Reporter

WARANGAL: A senior person in the revolutionary history of the district and the CPUSI State secretary, Diddi Vishnumurthy alias Venkanna alias Charuvaka, surrendered in the presence of Superintendent of Police, M. S. Ravindra, here on Wednesday.

Charuvaka joined the CPI (ML) Vimochana in 1981 and since then, had worked in various revolutionary parties for the past 26 years. He belongs to Inugurthy village of Kesamudram mandal.

According to the SP, Mr. Ravindra, the group has pockets of influence in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda and West Godavari. The party has about 50 members. Charuvaka, speaking to the newsmen, said he was giving up as caste discrimination was rampant within the revolutionary parties and he realised the party can never emerge as a force to reckon with. Another extremist, A. Jagapathi Rao, LGS member of the CPI (Maoist) working at Eturunagaram, also surrendered.
