Truckers stir

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Truck operations are likely to be partially affected from June 20 with the All-India Motor Transport Congress threatening to suspend work if the authorities levy toll charge for the Krishnagiri-Bangalore stretch from that date.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the chairman, O.P. Agarwal and vice-president, south zone, G.R. Shanmugappa, said the congress was opposed to toll roads anywhere in the country. It had made this clear to the Union Government.
