TNAU extends date to submit applications

Candidates who have applied earlier in response to the notification dated May 11 need not apply again as their applications would be considered under the new system.

COIMBATORE: The last date for sale and receipt of applications for undergraduate admission to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has been extended up to June 20.

According to a university release, the single window admission system for UG programmes for 2005-06 would be solely on the basis of Plus Two marks as per the recent Government Order.

Students who have not applied so far in response to TNAU notification dated May 11 and those who did not write the entrance examination could apply for admission now.

Candidates who have applied earlier in response to TNAU notification dated May 11 for courses offered by Agricultural University need not apply again as their applications would be considered under the new system.

However, candidates who have applied earlier with improvement marks should submit a copy of their marks obtained in the first attempt.

Their applications would be processed with the first attempt marks only.

Apart from this, other conditions and reservations remain the same as mentioned in the information brochure given along with the earlier applications.

Application forms can be obtained in person from the Dean, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulam, Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Trichy, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Kumulur, Forest College and Research Institute, Mettupalayam and Urban Horticultural Development Centre, Chennai by paying Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST) as demand draft drawn in favour of the Dean of the college concerned.
