THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 19-year-old youth has been arrested by the city police on the charge of cheating 33 persons in the State by collecting money from them on the assurance that they would be given jobs in the Indian Army. Sub-Inspector, Thampanoor, K. Purushothaman Nair identified the accused as Sakesh, a resident of Chadayamangalam in Kollam district. Mr. Purushothaman Nair said that Sakesh, posing as an army officer, had collected Rs.10,000 and upward from job aspirants. The accused was briefly attached to an artillery unit stationed in Nasik. He was trapped by the police with the help of a complainant.
