Central staff can take LTC to visit Andamans

NEW DELHI:
All eligible Central Government employees can now avail leave travel concession to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands instead of their hometowns in their entitled mode and class of travel.
According to an order, the Government has decided to relax rule 12 to permit all Group A and B employees to avail LTC facility by air economy class on national carrier only from Kolkata or Chennai to Port Blair and back and allow air fare reimbursement accordingly. The order shall remain in operation for the next six months.
