MUMBAI: TotalFinaElf India Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the French oil and gas giant, Total, on Thursday announced a comprehensive business strategy to double its market share by the year 2010. The company also launched its new logo. As part of the strategy, the company will be expanding its dealer and distributor network as well as exporting specialised and selective products to growing Asian markets. To increase volume, the company will focus on institutional sales, developing OEM relationships and expanding business with fuel and gas stations. TotalFinaElf India also announced its agreement with Reliance to sell its automotive lubricants from 2,000 Reliance fuel stations across the country. "We are committed to introduce the latest products and services. Further to our existing investment in LNG, LPG, lubricants and other specialities, we are exploring other opportunities in refining and marketing to strengthen our position in India,'' Gary Jones, Senior Vice-President, Total Refining-Marketing, Asia, said. Explaining the rationale behind the tie-up with Reliance, Thierry Gautier, CEO and Managing Director, TotalFinaElf India, said, "The alliance offers a huge potential for us to showcase our products and will help us gain an additional channel for retail sales.''
