Gayatri Sugars turns around
HYDERABAD:
Timely measures and greater financial discipline helped Gayatri Sugars Limited (GSL), formerly NCS Gayatri Sugars, put in an impressive performance for the year ended March 2005, and achieve a turnaround. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, T. V. Sandeep Reddy, Vice-Chairman, said improved operational performance, better sales realisations and cost reduction on account of financial restructuring were responsible for the turnaround. Though the turnover for the year was marginally lower at Rs. 75.89 crore (Rs. 77.64 crore), the net profit went up to Rs. 5.20 crore from a loss of Rs. 8.63 crore. He was confident of wiping off its accumulated losses of Rs. 26 crore in three-four years.
