Training for women in healthcare services

They will also be helped to get jobs

BANGALORE: The Rural Women Self-employment Training Institute, sponsored by the Canara Bank Platinum Jubilee Rural Development Trust and the Canara Bank Relief and Welfare Society, Bangalore, will conduct a three-month training programme on "home healthcare services" for unemployed women in the age group of 18 to 35 years who have passed the SSLC examination.

After a 15-day residential training programme at the institute at Harohalli, the participants will attend a 75-day course at Sevakshetra Hospital. No fee will be charged. The programme is for women who can take care of aged and bedridden patients and provide home healthcare to women and children.

Women interested in attending the programme should attend a walk-in interview at Mathrucchaya Canara Bank Relief and Welfare Society, Sevakshetra Hospital, 27 Cross, Banashankari 2nd Stage, on June 27 at 11 a.m.

They should submit applications with details such as name, age, qualification and family background. Women in distress, those from poor families, widows, and destitute women will be given preference.
