NEW DELHI: Six alleged contract killers of the Jatin Sirohi gang were arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi police outside the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Anand Vihar in East Delhi on Wednesday. The police claim to have recovered six country-made pistols and 32 live cartridges from their possession. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), Ajay Kumar, a team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rajbir Singh, received a tip-off that some members of Jatin Sirohi gang would assemble near the ISBT on Wednesday afternoon. The police laid a trap and arrested six of the suspects, identified as Sushil, Vinod, Kaptan Singh, Manoj Nehra, Satish and Jitender. All of them are residents of Uttar Pradesh. The police said Sushil and his accomplice, Shiv, were in Dasna Jail when they came in contact with Aakash, who offered them Rs. 50,000 for killing a witness, Vijender Singh, in his case. Sushil and other gang members eliminated the witness this May. On May 25, the gang members allegedly killed Dharambir, a resident of Ghaziabad, as he was said to be responsible for the murder of Manoj's brother, Subhash. On June 6, Sushil along with Vinod and Jitender allegedly eliminated Ravinder at Ahmednagar in Uttar Pradesh. The police said the gang members were also into carjacking. The Uttar Pradesh police have been informed about the arrests.
