NEW DELHI: The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has released the draft of the revised Indian Electricity Grid Code which is aimed at enhancing grid security and removing regional energy imbalances. Inviting comments on the draft from the public and power consumers at large, a CREC release here said the Grid Code had been revised in the light of various provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the operational experience gained since February 2000 when the code was first implemented for inter-state transmission.
