PATHANAMTHITTA: The Mar Thoma Sabha Pratinidhi Mandalam will be held at the Dr.Alexander Mar Thoma Memorial Hall in Thiruvalla from September 12 to 14. A release by Church secretary Fr. Cherian Thomas on Sunday said that the election of the new Church council members for the next three years would be held at the headquarters of various dioceses on August 13. The Mar Thoma Sabha council meeting held in Thiruvalla had decided to hold elections to the post of the Church secretary, lay trustee and clergy trustee at the Church headquarters in Thiruvalla on September 14. The council meeting reviewed the rehabilitation mission launched by the Church in the tsunami-hit coastal areas. The Mar Thoma Church will construct 75 houses, spending Rs. 100 lakhs, for the tsunami victims in the coastal areas of Klappana, Aynivelikulangara and Alapad in Karunagappally, Fr. Cherian said.
