AYODHYA: The Ayodhya Jama Masjid Trust (AJMT) on Sunday said it would construct a grand `Jama Masjid' outside the Sri Ramjanmabhumi premises in Ayodhya for the cause of Hindu-Muslim unity and communal harmony. The land for the proposed mosque would be provided by a Hindu religious body Akhil Bharatiya Ani Nirmani Akhada headed by Mahant Baba Dharmadas, the AJMT managing trustee, Allama Sayyed Asgar Abbas Rizvi, told UNI here. ``The construction of Jama Masjid would enlighten the path of Hindu-Muslim unity and help Ayodhya become a centre for communal harmony in the country.'' Mr. Rizvi said the trust members would soon visit the site for the mosque as proposed by the Akhada. ``A delegation of Hindu and Muslim religious heads would soon call upon Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to press for an amicable solution to the vexed Ayodhya matter,'' he said. The former Miss India, Nafisa Ali, was also pitching in the process, he added. UNI
