THRISSUR: Various programmes being organised by the Emergency Victims Patriotic Forum (EVPF) to observe the 30th anniversary of the Emergency were inaugurated by T.V. Eachara Warrier here on Sunday. Prof. Warrier said administrators had failed to improve the lot of Emergency victims. "I understood this when I tried to mobilise support for the Rajan Memorial Fund for Emergency Victims. I had brought up the case of a village officer who was burnt to death during the Emergency. I met the then Chief Minister A.K. Antony and requested him to help the family. But he did not do anything." Prof. Warrier said. Inaugurating the meeting, Therambil Sreedharan said certain contemporary events reminded that the dark forces of the Emergency were yet to perish.
