Isolated rain likely in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over coastal Karnataka. Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of north interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over Lakshadweep and at a few places over interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh. On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, fell appreciably at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, north Tamil Nadu, south interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over rest south coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly to appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, at one or two places coastal Tamil Nadu and north interior Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, rest coastal Tamil Nadu appreciably below normal at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, below normal at one or two places over south interior Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region. A number of stations recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius in the region. FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at a few places over interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana. Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Kerala and coastal Karnataka during the next 48 hours. Outlook For Subsequent Two days: No significant change.
