NEW DELHI: India won the four-nation under-21 hockey tournament at Bilbao after a 2-2 draw against Chile on Sunday. India had won the earlier two matches against Holland and Spain. Adrian D'souza, goalkeeper and Sandeep Singh were declared the `players of the tournament. In the match against Spain Sandeep Singh scored a brace as India overpowered host Spain 3-2. India, which trailed 1-0 at the breather, was a transformed side in the second half and scored two quick goals through Sandeep. India's third goal came from V. Raja who converted a pass from Tushar Khandkar in the 58th minute to seal the fate of the match. Spain scored a consolation goal through a penalty stroke in the 62nd minute. In another match, Holland defeated Chile 5-1. The Indian team will have a seven day training and practice matches session at Frankfurt, Germany prior to the junior World Cup to be held in Rotterdam from June 29. UNI
