NEW DELHI: Sunny Sarkaria won the men's 100 metres in 10.76s seconds and took the second place in 200 metres in the Delhi State athletics championships that concluded at the Nehru Stadium here on Saturday. The meet was held as trials for the all-India inter-State championships to be held in Bangalore from July 3 to 6. Though a few women's distance races were held as `mixed' events along with the men's, the Delhi State association did not announce the women's results. The results (winners only): Men: 100m: Sunny Sarkaria 10.8s; 200m: Amit Roy 21.8; 400m: Amit Roy 48.8s; 800m: Lakshay Urat 1:58.8; 1500m: Arun Kumar 4:03.1; 5000m: Arun Kumar 16:00.5; 10,000m: Joginder Singh 33:42.5; high jump: A. Nizam 1.95m; pole vault: Mahavir Singh 4.50m; long jump: Ashok 6.56m; triple jump: Anil Sharma 13.81m; shot put: Rajeev 15.06; discus: Sandeep 41.37m; javelin: Deependra 65.21m.
