Sasikiran joint third

NEW DELHI: K. Sasikiran shared the joint third position with Emil Sutovski of Israel after the sixth round of the Marx Gyorgy chess tournament in Paks, Hungary, on Saturday.

Sasikiran drew with Victor Korchnoi of Switzerland to take his tally to 2.5

Zoltan Almasi of Hungary shared the lead with Korchnoi, both of whom have 4.5 points each.

The results (sixth round): Victor Korchnoi (Sui, 4.5) drew with K. Sasikiran (Ind, 2.5); Zoltan Almasi (Hun, 4.5) bt Emil Sutovsky (Isr, 2.5); Ferenc Berkes (Hun, 2) drew with Peter Acs (Hun, 2).
