KOLLAM: With one more house washed away by the sea at Eravipuiram on Sunday, the total number of seafront dwellings destroyed in the area since Saturday has risen to eleven. All those affected have been provided shelter at Eravipuram Saint John's School. After a couple of days, the sea turned rough again along the Eravipuram coast on Saturday. By evening, ten houses were hit by the waves. Five of the houses were fully washed away and the rest partially. With the sea remaining rough on Sunday too, more houses on the seafront stand vulnerable. Many families have moved over to the school where a relief camp has been opened.
