NEW DELHI: The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today said he would give "sympathetic consideration" to the demand for release of more water to parched Delhi. At a public reception in Bawana to honour Mr. Hooda on becoming the Haryana Chief Minister, Member of Parliament from Outer Delhi constituency Sajjan Kumar raised the issue of water scarcity in the city. Acknowledging the grave water crisis in Outer Delhi, Hooda said he would give "sympathetic consideration" to the release of water to the city on "humanitarian grounds", according to a release. Mr. Hooda was presented a silver mace weighing five kgs and a traditional turban on the occasion. -- PTI
