Letters to the Editor
The hue and cry over L.K. Advani's description of Jinnah as secular during his Pakistan visit is uncalled for. Whatever he said was in tune with the highest level of diplomacy and international etiquette. The need of the hour is a mature, logical, and rational approach to the issue in the larger interests of friendship and camaraderie between the peoples of the two countries. History is best remembered by the lessons it has taught and not by the persons who made it. The hysteria over Mr. Advani's yatra, which was a step forward in strengthening bilateral ties, is much ado about nothing.
