ERODE: For boys and girls studying from fourth standard to 12th standard and also those in polytechnic colleges, graduate and post-graduate students will be given free hostel facilities by the Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department, said the District Collector, D. Karthikeyan on Monday. He said that students would be admitted in the academic year. Food, accommodation, two sets of free polyester uniforms for students studying up to tenth standard would be given. Special coaching and guidance would be given to students studying in tenth to 12th standards. He wanted the applicants to submit applications on or before June 30 to the Hostel Wardens or District BC and MBC Welfare Officer.
