Big win for NHK

VELLORE: NHK Cricket Club defeated Youth CC by 151 runs and United Cricket Club by seven wickets in the first division league matches conducted by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association here on Saturday and Sunday.

A 7-wicket haul by S.M. Zafrullah Sheriff enabled Spencers CC to beat Blue Star CC by 183 runs.

The scores:

Emerald CC 186 in 44 overs (D. Ramesh 45, P. Vinoth Kumar four for 48) lost to Spencers CC 188 for four in 30 overs (G.Raju 68 not out).

NHK CC 218 in 44.3 overs (K. Padmanabhan 48, Subash four for 30) beat Youth CC 67 in 16 overs.

Pioneer CC 184 in 33 overs (V. Harikrishnan four for 43) drew with Arakkonam Cricket Academy 140 for 6 in 33 overs (S. Manivannan 57 not out). Match ended in a draw due to rain.

United CC 97 in 37 overs (K.Velmurugan 4 for 32) lost to NHK CC 98 for three.

Spencers CC 268 in 50 overs (R.Raja 70, G.Raju 67) beat Blue Star CC 85 (S.A. Zafrullah Sheriff seven for 30).

Arakkonam Cricket Academy 145 in 30 overs lost to Emerald CC 146 for eight in 42 overs (M.S. Sivakumar four for 40). — Staff Reporter
