CHENNAI: Application and prospectus for admission to the first year MBBS/BDS courses for 2005-06 will be issued in all Government Medical Colleges, and Tamil Nadu Government Dental College, Chennai, on all days from June 22 to July 1, according to an official release. While the applications will be issued till 3 p.m. on July 1, filled-in applications must be submitted at the office of the Selection Committee by 5 p.m. on July 1. The cost of the application is Rs. 500 and that for each special category is Rs. 100. They can be obtained on payment of the required amount in the form of a demand draft, drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, payable at Chennai. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates are exempted from payment of the cost of application form, which can also be downloaded from the web site — www.tnhealth.org — and only filled-in applications with the draft will be accepted. The release said candidates seeking admission under the special category should also fill up the common application for the general category. Those without the general application will not be considered.
