TIRUNELVELI: : Two persons including a loadman were murdered in separate incidents in the district. The police said M. Lakshmanan (45), loadman of Sankarankovil, had a quarrel in an inebriated condition with his first wife, Irulaayi, late on Sunday night. As he inflicted cut injuries on the hands of Irulaayi, his son, L. Irulappan, allegedly stabbed him to death. The Sankarankovil police arrested Irulappan. In the second incident, S. Balachandran (25) of Tirunelveli Junction was allegedly murdered by A. Balachandran of Chaththiram Puthukulam under the Thatchanallur police station limits, as the deceased man had an illegal affair with the wife of the accused.
