Kumbhabishekam of Mariamman Temple on June 24

CHENNAI: The kumbhabishekam of Mariamman Temple at Veppathur, eight km east of Kumbakonam, will be performed at 8-30 a.m. on June 24. The 100-year-old temple, which was in a dilapidated condition, has been reconstructed with support from those hailing from the village. The construction and kumbhabishekam' have been organised under the auspices of the Veppathur Sri Venkatachalapahty Trust with guidance from the Hindu Religious Charitable and Endowment.
