Business as usual at petrol bunks

: It was business as usual at the more than 150 petrol bunks in the district on Monday despite the strike at the national-level by outlets demanding an increase in their commission. With more than 30 per cent of the bunks here belonging to petroleum companies, private outlets thought it unwise to join the strike and lose revenue.

Camp

The District Industries Centre will conduct entrepreneurship motivation camps at Avanashi Panchayat Union on June 22 and Anamalai Panchayat Union on June 29. A press release said the camps were aimed at encouraging self-employment in rural areas.
