KOZHIKODE: Anjam Aara (21), a medical student from Bangalore, drowned at Kappad beach on Sunday. She slipped into the water when she was posing for photographs on the rocks. The local people recovered the body from the sea in 20 minutes. Anjam, a second year MBBS student at B.R. Ambedkar Medical College, was on a trip to Kerala along with her classmates and teachers. The group, comprising 40 students, was to return to Bangalore on Sunday evening.
Body handed over
Anjam's body, which was taken to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on Sunday, was handed over to her relatives on Monday afternoon after post-mortem.
