PONDICHERRY: Volunteers of the BJP's Pondicherry unit will stage a demonstration near Indira Gandhi statue at Ellaipillaichavady here on Thursday to condemn the hike in prices of petrol and diesel. The president of the party, R. Kesavalu and A.M. Krishnamoorthy told newsmen here on Tuesday that ever since the Congress led UPA government assumed office in the Centre the prices of petroleum products had been pushed upward at least four times. It was a matter of concern that that DMK, PMK and Communist parties affiliated to the UPA were also supporting the step of the Congress.
