10 insurgents killed

IMPHAL:
Security forces have gunned down 10 insurgents and recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives at Phoibi in Churachandpur district of Manipur, a Defence Ministry spokesman said here.
While the spokesman said that two security personnel were injured the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak said that five personnel were killed and seven wounded. The spokesman of the insurgents said that only two of its cadres were killed.
The security forces recovered AK 47 rifles, a rocket launcher with four rockets, a G-3 Rifle, a shotgun, a lethod launcher and other materials.
On Monday, eight insurgents were killed during a raid on a camp.
On June 14, the security forces had killed four insurgents. . They killed two insurgents last week, while raiding a camp at Henglep.
