KOLLAM: Power transmission in Paravur township, near here, is set to improve with the launching of the Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme at Paravur on June 22. The Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed will inaugurate the programme at a function on that day. The Deputy Chief Engineer of the Kollam Electrical Circle K. Radhakrishnan said the programme involves revamping the whole distribution system with the addition of extensive network. Thirty-three new distribution transformers and 175 capacitors will be installed to improve voltage and stability. All the existing distribution transformers at Paravur section will be renovated.
