Sun TV news editor deposes in bus-burning trial
Special Correspondent
SALEM:
The Sun TV news editor and reporters deposed on Tuesday before the First Additional District Sessions Judge D. Krishna Raja in the Dharmapuri bus-burning trial.
News editor V. Raja claimed that on the day of the incident, Mani alias Raja Mannar from Dharmapuri informed him over telephone that a videocassette containing the clippings of the incident was sent to Chennai by the Kovai Express.
The cassette was collected at the Chennai Central and after editing, it was aired the next day during the 8 a.m. news bulletin.
After a month, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CB-CID approached him for the cassette. Mr. Raja said that he handed it over to them.
