Staff Reporter

KOLLAM: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has proposed a change in its articleship by submitting a new syllabus for the Chartered Accountants course to the Union Government for approval.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, ICAI South India region chairman V.C. James said the new curriculum is likely to come into force by next June.

It will enable students to become CAs by the age of 21 if they clear all papers in the first chance.
