ECB security team to visit Pakistan
The visit was confirmed by the ECB to its counterpart, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to media reports, the ECB had informed the PCB that it would be sending a two-member security team to the country and a senior official would join them later. ``The ECB official will come to Pakistan after the delegation has completed the task and is expected to hold talks with the Board and the government officials before the tour itinerary is finalised,'' the source said. The members of the ECB delegation would visit all the venues proposed by the PCB for holding matches against England and would also meet the Interior Ministry and high-ranking police officials. They are also expected to visit Karachi and get a feedback from their High Commissioner in Islamabad. England had raised concerns about playing a Test in Karachi fearing player safety. However, the PCB made it clear that it's unlikely to omit Karachi as a Test centre and will try to convince the ECB it is safe to play in the biggest city of the country. England tours Pakistan from October 22 to play three Tests and five One-Day Internationals apart from a number of side games. UNI
