CRISIL, NABARD launch MFI grading scheme
MUMBAI:
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the credit rating agency, CRISIL Ltd., have jointly launched the MFI Grading scheme to rate micro finance institutions (MFIs). This grading is to encourage banks to involve MFIs in financial intermediation to greater extent than now and enhance credit delivery to the poor, CRISIL said in a release here on Tuesday.
