KARIMNAGAR.: The Minister for Sports and Culture, M. Satyanarayana Rao, participated in a sports function in the district first time after assuming charge of his new portfolio by flagging off the Olympic Run in Karimnagar town on Tuesday morning. The Minister also participated in the Olympic Run by running half-a-kilometre distance on par with young sportspersons in the town and motivated the youth to run even faster. The run passed through all important streets of the town. Students of various schools and colleges, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and sportspersons took part in the event. The Minister said that he was a sportsperson and participated in several sports events during his younger days.
