LUCKNOW: The committal of the Madhumita Shukla murder case to a sessions court was challenged here on Tuesday. A revision petition was filed in the sessions court by the former Uttar Pradesh Minister, Amar Mani Tripathi, after the CBI Special Judicial Magistrate, Shivani Jaiswal, on June 16 committed the case to the court for proper trial. Tripathi, his wife and four others are accused in the case. The Sessions Judge, R D Nimesh, on Tuesday directed the Special CBI court to hand over the records of the case by June 24. Poetess Madhumita Shukla was shot dead by two assailants in her house in the State capital on May 9, 2003.- PTI
