Panther skin recovered from beggar

ANANTAPUR:
A panther skin was recovered from a beggar at Gorantla in the district on Tuesday. It was handed over to the Forest Department officials.
According to information reaching here, one Harikrishna, an activist of `Jantu Himsa Vyatireka Samstha' (Society Against Cruelty on Animals), noticed the skin on the back of a beggar near his house on Tuesday.
Given by his father
When questioned, the beggar admitted it was a panther skin given by his father. He also said he was from Kadiri area.
Harikrishna immediately called up the local police and informed them about the wild animal skin. The beggar kept the skin there and escaped. It was handed over to the police by Harikrishna who also informed the Red Cross at Hyderabad and the Forest Department officials.
