Cause of fish kill may be known today

BANGALORE: The Lake Development Authority, which has collected water samples from Puttenahalli Lake for tests, and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, which collected water and dead fish for inspection, have come up with preliminary findings.

The complete water sample reports, excluding the bioassay sample which was taken to check the toxicity level, are expected to be available on Wednesday.

"The cause of the fish kill may be clear by Wednesday," Shivalinge Gowda, Environmental Officer, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, said on Tuesday.
