Two murdered
An auto-rickshaw driver allegedly burnt his wife alive at Amberpet suspecting her fidelity. Narsinga Rao, 30, doused his wife, Radhika, 26, in petrol while she was asleep in their house at Amberpet, set her afire around 5 a.m. and fled. The house owner rushed in to find her charred body.
In another case, a woman, Yellamma, 30, allegedly killed her husband, Ramchander, at Rayadurg. An inebriated Ramchander was sleeping on the road after beating up Yellamma when she smashed his head with boulders .
Bars raided
The Hyderabad Police Task Force raided Easy Rider bar, Ten Downing Street pub, Touch bar, Koyla restaurant, Officers club in Old Bowenpally, Bottles and Chimney, Raj bar, Madhu bar and some wine shops allegedly for operating beyond permitted hours. Some persons were arrested, a press release said.
