KOCHI: Private vehicles that ply and shops that open will be given adequate protection on Wednesday, said a communication from the office of the City Police Commissioner. The step has been taken in the light of the dawn-to-dusk hartal called in protest against the hike in fuel prices. More police personnel will be deployed in the city to meet exigencies.
