Ministers visit kin of slain TRS member

Visit kept secret due to security reasons

KARIMNAGAR: The Minister for Civil Supplies, G. Vijayarama Rao, and the Minister for BC Welfare, V. Lakshmikantha Rao, along with a few Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders and officials on Thursday visited the house of the TRS MPTC member, T. Nagabushanam, who was killed by the CPI-Maoists recently for failing to resign from the party and to his post, in the interior Veernapally village of Yellareddypet mandal and consoled the bereaved family members.

The Ministers handed over a cheque for Rs. 50,000 given by the party to the family of the slain naxalite. Revenue authorities also extended a financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 under the National Family Benefit Programme. The Ministers assured the family of all assistance.
