Teenaged brothers identified as thieves

HYDERABAD:
The `lean' burglars who dug a hole in the wall of a jewellery shop in Saidabad last Saturday and took away 90 tolas of gold ornaments were two teenaged brothers, it was learnt.
Based on the fingerprints collected from the shop, the Saidabad police identified them as Surender Reddy (17) and Veeera Reddy (16), hailing from Rayachoti of Cudapah district.
Earlier, they allegedly committed a burglary in Tirupati with similar modus operandi and were caught.
"Since both of them are leanly built, it has become easier for them to enter buildings by digging small holes. The hole dug in the Saidabad shop is just 7x10 inches," a police officer said.
Inmates of juvenile home
The brothers resorted to property offences two years ago and were once lodged in the Juvenile Home.
They were living in a rented house in Saidabad and did a recce of the complex in which the shop was located.
The entire cache of stolen jewellery was recovered.
