Water supply to be disrupted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Supply of drinking water to Chala, Pazhavangady, Sreekanteswaram, Thampanoor, Palkulangara, Kamaleswaram, Fort, Ambalathara, Beemapally, Attukal, Kovalam, Sreevarahom, Kuriathi, Valiathura, Poonthura and Shanghumughom will be disrupted from 10 p.m. on Saturday to midnight on Sunday. This is to facilitate relaying of the 700 mm water line across the Amayizhanjan canal at Thakaraparambu. — Staff Reporter

NCC training camp

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The combined all-wing annual training camp of No. C 2 (K) Battalion NCC, under the Thiruvananthapuram Group, is in progress at the Pangode Military Centre in the city. Junior and senior division cadets from the Army, Navy and Air wings of the Thiruvananthapuram Group are attending the camp. — Staff Reporter

Man run over

Thiruvananthapuram: A man, in his late 50s, was killed after being run over by a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus at Kowdiar on Friday morning. He is yet to be identified. The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital. — Staff Reporter

Admitted with burns

Thiruvananthapuram: A 38-year-old woman, who is said to have set herself aflame after dousing herself with kerosene, was admitted to the Medical College Hospital with almost 90 per cent burns on Friday. She has been identified as Geetha. — Staff Reporter
