SLMC opposes tsunami deal

V.S. Sambandan

COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC), an Opposition party, said on Saturday it would boycott the Post-Tsunami Operational Management Structure (P-TOMS). "We want a review of the joint mechanism. We must have some mechanism, but this is not the way to go about it," SLMC leader, Rauf Hakeem, told a press conference.

The decision follows last week's "variety of concerns" raised by him on the mechanism.
