Broadband connection

Staff Reporter

COIMBATORE: BSNL's broadband connection is now available on demand on a first come first served basis in the district subject to technical feasibility, the deputy general manager, Sanjeev Peeka, has said.

The subscribers will have full digital connectivity for their voice calls and Internet access simultaneously.

The broadband users need not buy any dialup package nor pay any dialup access charge for the telephone usage duration, as in the case of dialup Internet access, Mr. Sanjeev Peeka said. For the dialup users the `Home 500' package, which gives a speed of 256 kbps - almost six to seven times the average speed of dial up access - is the best option for faster downloads for saving time. Depending on higher usage the plan could be changed later.

The user charge would be collected monthly. The subscriber can register his request online by visiting bsnl.co.in/service/dataoneform.php. To know more about the features FAQ and tariff/terms the subscribers could visit chennai.bsnl.co.in/index.html. For immediate requirement contact 2437600.
