Chennai: Rockfort Team, Tiruchi, won the T. Nagar Sports Club annual open bridge tournament on Sunday. The team, represented by T.R. Krishnan, C. Alagappan, N. Pragasam, T.M. Gunasekaran and T.M. Saravanan beat Nest Inn, Chennai, represented by N. Niranjan, R. Kannan, S.K. Chari, K.R. Venkataraman, R. Sreekrishnan and A.S. Viswananthan by 26 IMPs. Earlier Rockfort beat Harekrishna team of V. Suryanarayana, Dr. R. Ravi, C. Rangarajan, G. Rajagopal, S.M. Sekkilar and N. Kumar by 1 IMP while Nest Inn beat Boaz Team, Chennai, represented by Dr. P.D. Boaz, Uttam Gupta, P. Sridharan, N.R. Kirubakaramurthy, S. Sunderram and S. Naimudeen by 22 MPs. In the Board-A-Match event, Nest Inn represented by R. Kannan, S.K. Chari, A.S. Viswanathan and K.R. Venkataraman topped the table by scoring 73 Match Points (MPs) out of possible 108 MPs. Gupta's Team, Bangalore, represented by S. Vijayaraghavan, V. Krishnan, Dr. Vasantha and A.S. Gupta with 72 MPs finished runner-up. Mr. S.S. Somasundaram, secretary TSC presided, and Mr. S. Nagaiyan, president, gave away the prizes. Mr. N.R. Kirubakaramurthy, of M.D. Agsar Paints, presented an air conditioner to the bridge hall. Other results: Board-A-Match: 3. Krish Team, Chennai, (R. Krishnaswamy, L. Subramanian, S. Sankaran and S. G. Venkatakrishna and J.P. James (62.9%), 3. K.R. Venkataraman and N.R. Kirubakaramurthy (58.8%) and 4. T.M. Suryanarayanan and S. Kailasam (57.6%). East-West: 1. S.R.S. Sastry and A. Sridhar (64.3%), 2. C.R. Kumar and C. Mohankrishna (59.2%), 3. C. Rangarajan and Dr. R. Ravi (57.1%) and V.K. Bhansal and Mrs. Padmini Diwakaran (56.6%). Pairs - Howel: 1. T.M. Suryanarayanan and S.
