KASARAGOD: As in any other district in the State, Kasaragod too has an Officers Club. But, its existence is on paper for all practical purposes. Unlike in other districts, Government and PSU officials here take little interest in either streamlining or activating the Club. A handful of those who were responsible for the formation of the club feel that the "apathetic" attitude of the officers, in general, had made the club a non-starter. Besides, the majority of officers posted to the district seek a transfer. The district administration too was responsible for the "low-profile existence" of the club.
