Presentation on "Pan African Network"

NEW DELHI:
President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Tuesday explained the concept and model of the "Pan African Network" to envoys of 26 African nations at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan here. Mr. Kalam proposed the network as part of India's "Focus Africa" programme at the Pan African Parliament in September last during his visit to South Africa. In his presentation before the envoys, the President gave details of the tele-education delivery systems he was using regularly for his interactions with universities, colleges, schools and rural areas.
